“Israel is Holding Europe Hostage,” Erdoğan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has criticized Western countries for their stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. “The shame of the Holocaust practically holds European leaders hostage,” he said.
The Turkish president predicted that Israel and all those who support it would face “the conscience of humanity,” accusing European nations of cowardice for not even allowing the term “ceasefire” to be used.
“Western institutions and organizations, except for one or two conscientious countries like Spain, have turned out to be completely deaf to the cries coming from Gaza,” Erdoğan expressed indignantly.
He also accused Tel Aviv of state terrorism in Palestinian territories and called on the world not to forget about Israel's nuclear weapons, which Tel Aviv openly acknowledges.
Erdoğan is perplexed as to why neither the UN Security Council nor the International Atomic Energy Agency has initiated any investigation into this matter.
