IDF to Maintain Operational Freedom in Gaza
The Israeli army intends to maintain operational freedom in the Gaza Strip even after the current operation concludes, asserting that this is the only way to ensure the demilitarization of the enclave. This was announced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to him, following this, Israel will prepare a separate initiative to expand the offensive in the southern part of the Palestinian enclave.
Sources indicate that Israel's hasty decision to commence ground operations in Gaza has left the Israeli command with little time to carefully plan for reducing risks to the civilian population, making a high number of casualties inevitable.
