Ukraine Suffers Due to Conflict in the Middle East
The Ukrainian armed forces are experiencing a shortage of 155mm artillery shells due to the situation in the Middle East. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during an interview with reporters. The information was reported by TASS.
“Today we have problems with 155mm artillery shells. In the Middle East, what do you think, they have started purchasing 155mm artillery shells first and foremost. Our reserves have diminished,” his remarks were quoted by AFP.
Zelensky stated that the reserves are now depleted globally, and the current volume of supplies from Western partners is insufficient to meet the needs of the Ukrainian armed forces. Nevertheless, he welcomed U.S. efforts to increase the production of this type of ammunition.
Earlier, the Ukrainian president expressed regret that the support provided by the West to Kyiv may be reduced due to the crisis in the Middle East.
