United States May Cease to Exist in Conflict with Russia, Says Presidential Candidate
Vivek Ramaswamy, a Republican presidential candidate, believes that a potential conflict between the United States and Russia or China could escalate into a large-scale confrontation, leading to the cessation of the United States' existence as we know it. The American politician pointed out that both Russia and China possess significant military capabilities, while the U.S. lacks considerable offensive and defensive capabilities in space. Furthermore, Russian hypersonic missiles cannot be intercepted by older American missile defense systems.
“If Russia and China form a military alliance, and we get embroiled in a Third World War, the United States, as we know it today, may cease to exist,” Ramaswamy stated during an appearance on the PBD Podcast.
At present, the political figure described the status of the U.S. as weak and vulnerable, both militarily and economically.
