With the End of the Occupation of Karabakh, We Are Step by Step Approaching Sustainable Peace: Erdogan
The commitments of Armenia towards Azerbaijan will facilitate the peace process. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his speech at the 16th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
The Turkish president addressed the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, noting: “Currently, the importance of the Middle East-West corridor has increased, and we must develop its functionality. With the end of the occupation of Karabakh, we see that we are step by step approaching sustainable peace in our region. Armenia's commitments towards Azerbaijan will ease this process,” Erdogan stated.
The country's leader also emphasized the unblocking of regional communications. “In the near future, the implementation of transport lines connecting Azerbaijan's western regions and Nakhchivan is extremely important,” he added.
