Hungary Opposes Ukraine's EU Membership
The Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, believes it is premature to discuss Ukraine's potential membership in the European Union.
“We see that media freedom and freedom of speech are not respected, and we see that elections are not held,” he stated.
The minister added that Kyiv has not met the necessary conditions for EU membership, such as the rule of law and respect for the rights of national minorities.
It is worth noting that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Ukraine expects a final political decision on EU membership to be made at the EU leaders' summit in December.
