The Fate of Gaza Should Be Determined by Palestinians, Says US State Department
The fate of Gaza should be decided by the Palestinians after the end of military operations, and Washington does not support the reoccupation of the enclave by Israeli forces after the war. This was stated by Vedant Patel, spokesperson for the US State Department, during a press briefing.
“Our view is that the driving force behind decision-making should be the Palestinians. Gaza is Palestinian land and will remain so, and in general, we do not support its re-occupation. Gaza should no longer and cannot be a platform for carrying out terrorist attacks against anyone,” said Vedant Patel.
