Hezbollah Sets Condition for Entering Conflict in Gaza
The Lebanese Hezbollah movement will enter the Palestinian-Israeli conflict when the Palestinian Hamas movement is in a desperate situation, the New York Times reports, citing a Lebanese official. This information was conveyed by RIA Novosti.
Hezbollah fighters have declared that their red line for intervention is the destruction of Hamas, and they will enter the war if the group is "on its last breath," the publication states.
According to a regional diplomat, Hezbollah evidently is not launching a full offensive against Israel to avoid exacerbating the conflict. The Lebanese movement believes that Hamas is in a good position and still does not need assistance.
