Pashinyan on Opening of Armenian-Turkish Border
The Republic of Armenia hopes for the implementation of agreements regarding the opening of the border with Turkey. During the discussions on the draft state budget for 2024 in the National Assembly, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made such a statement while addressing Armenian-Turkish relations.
“I want to express hope that in the near future, as a result of discussions and negotiations of special representatives, the reached agreements will be realized. This concerns the fact that at this stage, the Armenia-Turkey border is being opened for citizens of third countries and those holding diplomatic passports,” he stated.
Pashinyan emphasized that significant work has been carried out in terms of border infrastructure as well, highlighting the modernization of the Margara checkpoint.
