VIDEO: Is Adana, Kars, and Artsakh Your Homeland? Allen Simonian to Journalist
Speaker of the National Assembly Allen Simonian urges journalists to contribute to establishing peace in Armenia. “I want to ask you one thing—let's all engage not in criticizing the current authorities or in obstructing them in any way, as we'll be going to elections one day, but rather in the work of establishing peace in Armenia,” he said in an interview with reporters.
According to him, peace is necessary for everyone and for our state. In response to a question about the cost of peace, he replied, “We have already paid all the prices; I believe we should not pay any more.”
In response to a journalist's comment about whether it's possible to live peacefully in one part of the homeland after leaving another part to the enemy, Simonian noted that the term homeland is very abstract. “Is Adana, Kars your homeland, is Artsakh your homeland? Now, by feeding a bread, is Van, Mush, Erzurum our homeland or not? Answer, why are you silent,” he said to the journalist.
