VIDEO: If there are areas on the map that belong to Azerbaijan, we must leave them, Simonyan

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, stated that Azerbaijan claims there are areas where Armenia is also in their territory. During a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly courtyard today, October 27, he mentioned that there is an Azerbaijani thesis regarding villages and territories where Armenia is considered to be within their lands.

“If according to the map based on which we gained independence, there are places where we are in Azerbaijan's territory, we must withdraw from those territories, just as they should also withdraw. This is an absolute truth. You gained independence over this territory and cannot have claims over other territories,” said Simonyan.
