«Mr. Mirzoyan, I am a convicted person, I know the value of every word» – Gegham Manukyan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia is evading providing opposition lawmakers with the conceptual document that Nikol Pashinyan is about to sign in Granada. During the Q&A session with the government in the National Assembly, MP Gegham Manukyan stated that he had approached the Ministry of Foreign Affairs requesting the opportunity to review the document, while the Ministry responded that the text of the Granada quadrilateral statement fully corresponds to the provisions anticipated in the mentioned document.
“Mr. Mirzoyan, those who wrote the inquiry know the Armenian language very well. We were not asking the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assess whether it corresponds or not; we were asking, as National Assembly members with clearance, to be granted the possibility at the Ministry to review the project that Nikol Pashinyan announced from this podium,” Manukyan remarked, to which Mirzoyan advised him to read it again. According to Mirzoyan, the announcement that ultimately was made reflects what has been discussed.
“The published, signed quadrilateral document, in essence, differs from what had been discussed before in that the signature of Azerbaijan was not at the bottom of the document,” Mirzoyan said.
Gegham Manukyan responded, saying: “Mr. Mirzoyan, I am a convicted person, I know the value of every word.”
