Minister Urges Against Exploiting the Situation for Profit
More than 41,000 individuals who have been forcibly displaced from Artsakh have received payments of 40,000 plus 10,000 drams. This was stated by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Narek Mkrtchyan, during a Q&A session with the National Assembly regarding the government. He added that data for the remaining individuals is in the processing stage.
“I know that in several of our communities, it is possible to resolve the issue of renting houses for 50,000 drams. Regarding the artificial inflation of rent prices, we have discussed this many times and appealed to our compatriots that given the current situation, it is not right to take advantage of this opportunity as a way to secure certain incomes,” emphasized Mkrtchyan.
He reminded that currently, over 80 percent of those displaced from Artsakh are settled in the regions of Armenia.
It should be recalled that Azerbaijan launched a large-scale attack against Artsakh on September 19.
