Negotiations Between Putin and Xi Jinping Taking Place in Beijing
Negotiations are underway in Beijing between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping. The leaders plan to engage in discussions involving delegations and, if necessary, hold one-on-one meetings, as reported by РИА Новости.
President Putin emphasized the need for close coordination of foreign policy under the current circumstances, stating that the Russian Federation and China are building cooperation in this regard. He added that the trade volume between the two countries has already reached $200 billion and is expected to exceed this figure within the calendar year.
Xi Jinping remarked that the countries are steadfastly deepening political mutual trust and maintaining close strategic cooperation. Beijing is ready to work alongside Russia to uphold international justice. He also noted that the leaders of the Russian Federation and China have confirmed warm practical relations and strong personal friendship.
