What is the Main Objective of Israel's Military Operation in Gaza?

Israel's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lior Ben-Dor told RIA Novosti that the primary objective of the military operation in the Gaza Strip is to prevent all possible scenarios of terrorist attacks within Israeli territory.

The representative of the ministry noted that negotiations with Palestine could only resume after the operational objectives have been achieved.

“The aims are to prevent all possible scenarios of terrorist attacks in Israeli territory, eliminate threats, and ensure security in our country for many years,” he stated.

Lior Ben-Dor also mentioned that Israel is prepared for a prolonged war, both economically and politically. According to him, Israel is “determined to continue the war in order to achieve all objectives.”

It should be recalled that on the morning of October 7, Israel was subjected to an unprecedented rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army's press service reported that extremists launched more than 3,000 rockets. Additionally, dozens of terrorists infiltrated border areas in southern Israel.
