Russia Can Help Resolve the Israel Conflict, Peskov Says
Russia maintains contact with both sides of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, is closely analyzing the situation, and could potentially participate in the resolution, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
“We maintain our communications with the conflicting parties,” he said in response to a question on whether the Russian Federation plans to recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization, as other countries have done.
“There are Russian citizens on both sides; the fate of Russian citizens is our number one priority,” Peskov emphasized.
Furthermore, he added that Russia “continues to carefully analyze the situation.”
“Russia holds its position as a country with the potential to participate in the resolution process,” the Kremlin representative stated.
