Baku Court Rejects Lawyer's Appeal: Ruben Vardanyan to Remain in Detention
The Baku court has left former Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan in detention. As reported by local media, the court rejected the appeal filed by lawyer Afat Gaziyeva, which aimed to change the measures of restraint for her client. The court deemed the decision of the first instance court to be justified.
It is noteworthy that on September 27, it became known that the Azerbaijani side had arrested Ruben Vardanyan when he attempted to leave Artsakh. Later, it was revealed that he was facing three charges, and an Azerbaijani court has decided to keep the former state minister in custody for four months.
