ICRC Continues Efforts to Receive New Batch of Vehicles and Transport the Wounded to Armenia
The flow of our compatriots from Nagorno-Karabakh through Kornidzor has not ceased throughout the night, with vehicles moving in a convoy, primarily personal cars, continuing to exit from the region. This was stated live by a correspondent working at the Kornidzor Civil Reception Center.
The priority is to transport those citizens to Armenia who have been displaced and are homeless. In Kornidzor, a registration process is taking place for our compatriots from Nagorno-Karabakh, after which they are transported in convoy to the center of Goris, and then to various allocated residences.
These residences are available not only in the Syunik region but throughout the entire territory of Armenia. According to the correspondent from the news agency, a convoy of buses has just set off for Nagorno-Karabakh, presumably to transport people who are homeless and do not have personal vehicles for transportation.
Employees from the Syunik regional administration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, migration and civil service workers, volunteers, ambulance staff, as well as representatives of the Red Cross, are working in Kornidzor. Psychological services are also being provided on-site.
The ICRC continues its efforts to receive a new batch of vehicles and transport the wounded to Armenia.
