US Ambassador Summoned to Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow
The US Ambassador to Moscow, Lynne Tracy, has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where a stern diplomatic protest was filed against her, along with the delivery of an official note. This was reported in the official statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
It was noted that this diplomatic protest was made through an official note regarding the actions of the first and second secretaries of the US embassy, which are deemed incompatible with their diplomatic status. The embassy staff members, US embassy secretary J. Silin and second secretary D. Bernstein, are required to leave Russian territory within seven days.
Reports indicate that these individuals have engaged in illegal activities by maintaining contact with a Russian citizen named Shonov, who is accused of secret collaboration with a foreign state. They allegedly assigned tasks to him for material compensation, aimed at harming the national security of the Russian Federation.
