Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry on Artsakh Presidential Election
The presidential elections in Artsakh represent a gross violation of Azerbaijan's constitution, its laws, as well as the norms and principles of international law, stated Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.
"The holding of elections once again shows that Armenia and the regime it has created are not interested in the peace process and are paving the way for provocations and escalation of the situation," the statement reads.
It is worth noting that Samvel Shahramanyan has been elected as the President of the Republic of Artsakh. A total of 23 deputies participated in the secret ballot, of which 22 voted in favor, while 1 voted against.
