Gunfire in Lori Region: Doctors Fight for the Lives of Two Women with Gunshot Wounds

Today, on September 2, gunfire was reported in the Lori region. Around 20:30, the Vanadzor Medical Center received a call from the Operational Management Center of the Lori Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, stating that two citizens with gunshot wounds had been brought in by others.

Doctors at the hospital informed the police and investigators that the injured were unable to provide explanations about the incident. The police and investigators have clarified that the victims are women who were brought to the hospital from Shirakatsi Street. One is 24 years old, while the other is 34.

Authorities are also trying to determine the circumstances under which the victims sustained gunshot wounds and the location of the shooting. One theory suggests that it may be connected to the shooting incident that occurred in Vanadzor on August 31.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Lori Regional Investigative Department regarding the facts of the incident. The police and the investigative division are working to establish the identities of the injured women and whether there are other victims.
