Macron's Use of the 'Lachin Humanitarian Corridor' Term is Unacceptable: Spokesperson of Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry

The Azerbaijani side hastens to respond not only to criminal actions but also to the statements made by French President Emmanuel Macron. "The use of the term 'Lachin humanitarian corridor' by the President of France is unacceptable and constitutes a violation of the idea of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. Moreover, it is unclear why the French side, which for 30 years did not condemn the aggression carried out by Armenia against Azerbaijan and the occupation of Azerbaijani lands, did not comment on the humanitarian situation of around one million refugees, but now focuses primarily on the humanitarian situation in the region," stated Aykan Hajizade, spokesperson of Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.

It should be noted that the President of France announced that he would discuss the situation in the Lachin corridor in the coming days with the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan. "We will demand the full preservation of the living conditions of the Lachin humanitarian corridor. In this direction, we will again put forward a diplomatic initiative at the international level aimed at increasing pressure," Macron said.
