No Criminal Prosecution Launched Against Any Individual in Tragic Accident Case, Investigative Committee Reports
The Investigative Committee has reported that no criminal prosecution has yet been launched against any individual in connection with the tragic accident that occurred in the Shirak region. Gor Abrahamyan, spokesperson for the Committee, stated in response to an inquiry from NEWS.am, "All necessary actions are being carried out to clarify the circumstances. So far, no criminal prosecution has been initiated against any individual."
It is noteworthy that on the night of August 14, a tragic car accident took place near the village of Lanjik along the Yerevan-Gyumri highway. A passenger minibus of the 'Volkswagen' brand collided with a 'ZIL' brand truck. A total of 11 citizens lost their lives, including the driver of the minibus, while 6 others sustained serious injuries.
