One of the Passengers in the Microbus Accident on the Gyumri-Yerevan Road was a Russian Citizen
Today, after midnight, a microbus was involved in an accident on the Gyumri-Yerevan road, carrying a total of 17 individuals. This information was relayed to Sputnik Armenia by the Governor of Shirak Province, Mushegh Muradyan.
“One of the deceased passengers was a Russian citizen of Armenian descent,” the governor stated.
Out of the 17 individuals, 11 have died. One was taken to Yerevan’s number 1 university clinic on the night of the incident, while the other five were transported to the Gyumri Medical Center. Three of the injured were moved to medical centers in the capital this morning, with one sent to Astghik Medical Center and two to Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center.
“Currently, only two of the injured at Gyumri Medical Center remain hospitalized. One is in serious condition, while the other is in critical condition, both are males,” the governor noted. He added that discussions are underway regarding the transfer of the remaining two injured individuals from Gyumri.
Recall that this tragic accident occurred on August 14 at approximately 00:20, when a Volkswagen passenger microbus collided with a ZIL truck driven by 33-year-old H.P. The accident claimed the lives of 11 people.
