Here’s how residents of Hawaii's Maui island plunged into the ocean in an attempt to save themselves from the forest fires. Hawaiian Islands Governor Josh Green previously stated that the final death toll from the wildfires could exceed 60.
It was reported earlier that wildfires have engulfed Hawaii's Maui island. In a desperate attempt to escape the flames, people swam into the ocean. The U.S. Coast Guard rescued nearly a dozen individuals from the water.
