Tensions Rise Between Karen Andreasian and Supreme Court President
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that recently the relationship between the head of the Judicial Council, Karen Andreasian, and the president of the Supreme Court, Lilit Tadevosyan, has become strained. Andreasian, who aims to fully control the judicial system, has warned Tadevosyan that she must cut ties with the external world and should not engage in contact with law enforcement and other state bodies regarding criminally problematic cases.
All communications must be conducted through him. He has instructed that everyone should be directed to him, whether it be the government, the prosecutor's office, or other agencies. The tension between Tadevosyan and Andreasian is also known among other actors in the law enforcement system.
Recently, it was reported that the Chief Prosecutor Anna Vardapetyan visited the Supreme Court and had a two-hour private conversation with Tadevosyan, sending a message to Andreasian that she cannot dictate terms to the Chief Prosecutor.
