Andranik Kocharyan Has Submitted a Request to the Court for Davit Tonoyan: 'Hayrapet'
According to the newspaper 'Hayrapet', 'If the court responds positively to Davit Tonoyan's request, the investigative commission examining the circumstances of the 44-day war will hold a session on August 1.' This was stated to our reporter by the chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense of the National Assembly and the investigative commission for the 44-day war, Andranik Kocharyan, who added that he also submitted a request to the court, and they are prepared to provide an exceptional opportunity for Tonoyan to visit the commission during the recess and voice his statements.
It should be noted that the National Assembly goes on recess on July 16. Andranik Kocharyan has also assured that they will allow Tonoyan to choose whether to present his case in closed mode or live, as was done in the case of Prime Minister Pashinyan. Kocharyan hopes that the court will issue a positive decision.
Recall that Davit Tonoyan, who has been in prison for over a year and a half, recently announced that on July 4, he submitted a request to the Anti-Corruption Court asking for permission to attend the session of the National Assembly commission. He emphasized that he decided to give explanations in response to the statements made by Nikol Pashinyan and former Chief of the General Staff Onik Gasparyan. 'Having played a key role in managing the war at the time, I have much to say to the commission,' he stated.
