Video: Turnaround Traffic Organization Planned on Myasnikyan Avenue

In an effort to alleviate congestion, a turnaround traffic organization is planned on Myasnikyan Avenue. An additional lane will be added during morning and evening hours.

(“Turnaround traffic” refers to a section of the road where the direction of traffic can change in one or several lanes).

Khoreh Grigoryan, head of the construction and improvement department of Yerevan Municipality, stated that they are also trying to implement other technical measures, namely 'nuegersons'. He noted, “Turnaround traffic, without the installation and modification of ‘nuegersons’, increases the number of traffic accidents by about 30%. Therefore, we are adding technical measures to avoid this issue.”

Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan suggested discussing the shortest and most practical route.
