73-Year-Old Woman Steals Foreigner's Wallet at Currency Exchange Point
A 73-year-old woman stole the wallet of a foreign citizen at a currency exchange point on Mashtots Street in the city of Echmiadzin, containing $2,200.
This information was provided by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Two days after the incident, on the morning of July 7, the elderly woman was found on Grigor Lusavorich Street in Echmiadzin and was arrested on suspicion of theft.
“A personal search revealed the aforementioned wallet, which contained $760. Measures are being taken to locate the remaining amount,” the statement said.
The 73-year-old woman and the related documents have been presented to the Vagarshapat investigative department.
