Group Hooliganism in Yerevan: Among the Arrested are Individuals with Nicknames
On July 1, a group hooliganism incident occurred in Yerevan, according to Shamshyan.com.
That day, around 23:10, operational information was received by the Central Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia and the Marash Police Department, reporting that a group of individuals was fighting and beating each other with wooden sticks near the Chess House at 50 Khanzhyan Street.
Police officers and patrol service members from the Central Division, Marash Division, and the patrol service of the capital quickly arrived at the scene, where they observed a group of individuals exchanging kicks and punches, shouting obscenities, and deliberately violating public order.
As a result of the police and patrol officers' operational actions, the participants in the fight were detained and taken to the Marash Police Department.
According to Shamshyan, the detainees are 21-year-old Movses M., 21-year-old Vahan V., 19-year-old Manvel A., 21-year-old Artashes B., 23-year-old Armen G., 28-year-old Sarkis A., and 20-year-old Alexander M.
These individuals were subsequently presented to the Central and Norq-Marash investigative units of the Investigation Committee of Armenia from the Marash Police Department.
Shamshyan reports that some of the detainees have nicknames used in their social circles, including “Shtirlits,” “Churchill,” “Rambo,” “Vandam,” and “Zenov Ohan.”
