Borrell Reveals EU Stance on Quran Burning
The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, has revealed the European Union's position regarding the burning of the Quran during a conversation with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. His remarks were quoted by the Iranian Pars Today agency on Telegram.
The chief of the foreign affairs ministry condemned any disrespect for sacred texts and religions, stating that the desecration of the Quran does not reflect the EU's stance.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Foreign Minister noted that recent negotiations between Tehran and European countries have been sincere and constructive.
It is worth recalling that earlier reports indicated that the Quran had been burned in Sweden on the day of Qurban Bayram.
