US Ambassador in Armenia Ignores the Most Important Collective Right of the People of Artsakh: Artak Beglaryan

Artak Beglaryan, an advisor to the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, expressed regret that the US Ambassador in Armenia is ignoring the most important collective right of the people of Artsakh regarding self-determination and seems to either not understand or not care about Azerbaijan's policy of ethnic cleansing.

"It is clear that no security or rights can be guaranteed under the dictatorial rule of Azerbaijan, and such erroneous statements only encourage further crimes. P.S. Happy Independence Day, Madam Ambassador! On this symbolic day, allow me to be brave enough to ask you why Americans could not find security and rights under British colonial rule, despite sharing the same ethnic and religious origins, and not being indigenous in the US—unlike the people of Artsakh. Considering the history, values, and emphasis on freedoms and rights of the US, it seems natural that the US should support the struggle of the people of Artsakh for the realization of their own freedoms and rights on their native land. Britain was no worse than Azerbaijan, and Americans were no better than the people of Artsakh," Beglaryan stated.
