France to Allocate €20 Million for Repair of Cameras Damaged During Protests: New Details from France

French President Emmanuel Macron visited police barracks. The President once again reminded the police that he supports them. This was reported by France 24, citing a source from the presidential office. Notably, the visit took place yesterday, July 3.

During the night, more than 70 people involved in the riots in France were arrested. BFMTV reports this as well.

French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin announced late in the evening that the French Government has decided to allocate €20 million for the repair of cameras that were damaged during the riots in French cities.

Recall that on June 27, French police shot a 17-year-old teenager, Nahel M., during a roadside check after he allegedly failed to comply with their demands. Riots erupted in several cities in France following the incident, which are still ongoing.
