The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, will make a working visit to Washington, D.C., on July 4. This information was published on the Facebook page of the Security Council.
"During the visit, the Security Council secretary is scheduled to meet with U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and other senior officials," the statement said.
According to the Security Council, Grigoryan will discuss Armenia-U.S. bilateral cooperation during his visit in Washington.
It is noteworthy that from June 27-29, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held bilateral negotiations in the city of Arlington, Virginia. In Washington, the foreign ministers met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
Following the completion of the latest round of negotiations, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Mirzoyan and Bayramov, along with their teams, reached an agreement on several articles of the draft bilateral agreement on "Establishing Peace and Inter-State Relations"; however, positions on a few key issues require further work.
