32 Children Treated in Hospital Due to Dog Bites in June
In June of this year, 32 children were admitted to the Muratsan University Hospital due to dog bite incidents. This was reported on Facebook by Shushan Danielian, the head of the Yerevan State Medical University staff.
“The children received rabies vaccinations or serum according to guidelines, and wound care was performed,” Danielian wrote.
It is important to note that besides causing pain and injury, dog bites can also transmit bacteria that lead to infections.
