President Rejects Pardon for Nairi Hunanyan's Brother
The President has denied a request for clemency for Karen Hunanyan, the brother of Nairi Hunanyan, who is serving a life sentence.
The decree by Vahagn Khachaturyan has been published on the official website of the Ministry of Justice. No reasons for the rejection have been provided.
The decree was signed on June 26. Earlier, on October 27, the brother of the crime leader had appealed to the government requesting a pardon and release.
Also serving life sentences in connection with the terrorist act are Nairi Hunanyan and three other associates of the criminal group.
