Known Issues on Which Armenia and Azerbaijan Reached Agreement in Washington
The spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ani Badalyan, informed Aysor.am about the issues where progress has been made in the Washington negotiations.
"These articles include the delimitation process, troop withdrawal, and the establishment of an international mechanism," stated the MFA spokesperson.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia had previously reported that during the ongoing negotiations in the U.S., Mirzoyan and Bayramov reached agreement on several articles of the draft agreement on "Peace and the Establishment of Interstate Relations."
"They reached agreement on several articles of the draft agreement and noted progress in mutual understanding while also acknowledging that the positions on several key issues require further work," the MFA reported.
It is worth mentioning that the Washington negotiations between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan began on June 27 at the National Foreign Affairs Training Center named after George Shultz, located in Arlington, near Washington.
The next high-level meeting between Armenia and Azerbaijan is currently scheduled for July 21 in Brussels, with the participation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and European Council President Charles Michel.
