Azerbaijan's Ambassador in the EU Threatens European Observers to Stay Away from Azerbaijan's Border
The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Belgium and the EU, Vagif Sadikov, has threatened the European Union's civilian mission observers. In a post on Twitter, he showcased a weapon and advised them to keep their distance from Azerbaijan's border.
The head of the European Parliament's Subcommittee on Security and Defence, Nathalie Loiseau, referred to this as a brazen act and a direct threat. In her microblog, she specifically stated: ‘Is this a threat to Members of the European Parliament? To what level has Azerbaijan's diplomacy sunk? With blatant disregard for the International Court's decision and holding 120,000 people hostage, you have no reason to take pride. This does not unsettle us. We will continue to maintain peace and our respect for the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.’
