He Thought That by Giving Up Artsakh He Would Preserve the Personal, a Naive and Abandoned People: Senor Hasratyan
We have become those who, for the sake of personal gain, are ready to sacrifice the common good, not realizing that in the end, by losing the common good, we will also lose the personal. This was stated by Senor Hasratyan, a reserve colonel of the Artsakh Defense Army and former head of the information and public relations department of the Artsakh armed forces.
“We continue to lose because there is almost a complete absence of the noble urge to feel the pain of others among us... A value we love to boast about at every opportunity, but never when it is most needed... Later, decades from now, when everything will be lost, an Armenian who has settled in some distant corner of the world, in the plight of a refugee, will still complain about fate or the ‘unjust world...’ And at that moment, there will be no one to remind him of the state in which Artsakh was, while he remained indifferent... Indifferent because he thought that by giving up Artsakh, he would preserve the personal... A naive and abandoned people...,” he wrote.
