Former Leaders Gave Azerbaijan Time to Prepare for ‘Best War’ Through Negotiations: Pashinyan
The third President of Armenia, Serge Sargsyan, and his team introduced a dubious slogan in the context of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh issue: that the worst negotiations are better than the best war. This statement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a speech at a meeting of the parliamentary inquiry commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war.
According to Prime Minister Pashinyan, the previous authorities never realized that with the worst negotiations, they were giving Azerbaijan time to prepare for its best war. “With this slogan, they tied Armenia's hands and feet, putting Armenia and Karabakh in a hopeless situation,” he declared.
