VIDEO: Another Earthquake Recorded in France
A 5 magnitude earthquake has been recorded in the Deux-Sèvres department of France. The information was published on the regional administration's Twitter page.
“This morning at 04:27, an earthquake was felt in the Deux-Sèvres department. Operations are underway to respond to alerts and check the condition of buildings,” the statement said.
Previously, it was reported that yesterday, in the western part of the country at 18:38, a 5.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded. Shortly after, aftershocks of magnitudes 3.1 and 4.4 were registered in the same area.
In some communities, buildings were damaged. In the coastal Charente department, the church in the town of Courçon was damaged, while part of the temple towers collapsed in the commune of Ars. In La Lande commune, the church tower was significantly damaged, and cracks appeared on the walls of dozens of houses.
