22 US servicemen injured in helicopter crash in Syria
Twenty-two American servicemen were injured in a helicopter crash in northeastern Syria. The U.S. Central Command announced this on Twitter.
"On June 11, due to an incident involving a helicopter in northeastern Syria, 22 U.S. servicemen sustained injuries of varying degrees. The servicemen are receiving treatment; 10 individuals have been evacuated to more specialized facilities beyond Central Command," the post stated.
The causes of the incident are under investigation. It is also reported that "there was no fire from enemy forces."
