Discussing the Issue of Reducing Bilateral Tensions: Khanani on Iran-Azerbaijan Relations
The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanani, addressed the recent developments in the relations between Iran and Azerbaijan during a press conference and the communications between the foreign ministers of the two countries. He stated: “Four different discussions have been held between the foreign ministers of the two countries with varying frequency. In the latest phase, an agreement was reached on some practical steps, including the exchange of technical delegations between the two countries aimed at managing tensions and resolving misunderstandings.
As part of the agreement, there has already been an exchange of delegations between the two countries. God willing, other exchanges will also take place. Currently, the issue of reducing bilateral tensions is under discussion, which will be followed by the reopening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran.”
