Zelensky Imposes Sanctions on 178 Individuals
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has enacted a decision by the National Security and Defense Council targeting 178 individuals, the majority of whom hold Russian citizenship, including Valery Zorkin, the head of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.
The corresponding decree was published on Zelensky's official website on Sunday. Decree No. 321/2023 pertains to the implementation and modification of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) as outlined in the National Security and Defense Council's decision from June 11, 2023.
The sanctions apply to 178 individuals, including against Zorkin, the president of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.
According to the document, the sanctions are set for a period of five years and include, among other things, asset blocking, restrictions on commercial transactions, cessation of fulfilling economic and financial obligations, prohibition of transfer of rights concerning technologies and intellectual property, among others.
