Ukrainian Counteroffensive Has Begun, Says Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that the Ukrainian army has launched a long-anticipated counteroffensive. This was reported by the Russian service of BBC.

In recent days, Ukrainian authorities have indicated that it is still too early to talk about the commencement of a large-scale counteroffensive, focusing only on attacks in specific areas of the front.

Putin told reporters, "First and foremost, we can definitely state that this offensive has begun, evidenced by the utilization of strategic reserves of the Ukrainian army and their operations. It is unequivocally clear."

Previously, Western media had also reported on the initiation of counteroffensive operations, while the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that all attacks have been repelled.
