US Expresses Satisfaction with Armenian-Azerbaijani Negotiations Ahead of Meeting
The United States expresses satisfaction with the ongoing negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan taking place in various locations, including the recent meeting of the leaders of the two countries in Chisinau. This was conveyed to the Armenian service of Voice of America by a representative of the U.S. State Department, who wished to remain anonymous.
The official added, “We expect to host another round of negotiations in Washington at the end of this month as both sides continue to pursue a peaceful future in the South Caucasus. The key to resolving issues and achieving lasting and dignified peace is direct dialogue.”
It is worth noting that earlier, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Armenia and Azerbaijan would continue negotiations on establishing relations and a peace treaty at the level of foreign ministers on June 12 in the U.S. capital, Washington.
