Video: Raffi Hovannisian Not Allowed to Enter Memorial Complex, Lays Flowers on Asphalt
The first Foreign Minister of Armenia, Raffi Hovannisian, was denied access to the Sardarapat Memorial Complex by police and special forces, as a solemn ceremony attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and other high-ranking officials was taking place, 24news.am reports.
Hovannisian laid the flowers he brought directly on the road instead.
It is worth noting that May 28 is the Day of the First Republic of Armenia. On May 28, 1918, following the collapse of the Democratic Federal Republic of Transcaucasia in Tbilisi, the Armenian Republic was declared by the 'Armenian National Council'.
