“No builder should be stonecutting during the day, the dust is a consequence of that,” Avinyan
We must begin to strictly implement solutions related to dust emissions. This was stated by Tigran Avinyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, during a regular session of the Yerevan City Hall's operational staff, noting that dust catchment nets should be a mandatory requirement for construction.
“I believe that this requirement should be applied to all high-risk groups as well as our own builders, who may carve stone during the day without following any norms. Dust from construction sites is also one of the major pollutants affecting air quality. We need to be stricter on this issue,” said Avinyan, giving directives to the relevant departments and officials.
