Mi-28 Military Helicopter Crashes in Crimea: Casualties Reported
A Mi-28 helicopter crashed on Friday during a training flight in the Jankoy region of Crimea. This was announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by tass.ru.
“On May 12, 2023, at 15:42 (Moscow time), a Mi-28 helicopter crashed while conducting a planned training flight in the Jankoy region of the Republic of Crimea. The flight was carried out without ammunition, and both pilots died,” the ministry stated.
The Russian Ministry of Defense noted that the preliminary cause of the crash was a technical malfunction. A commission from the Russian Aerospace Forces' main command has been dispatched to the accident site to investigate all the causes and circumstances of the incident.
