NATO Increases Air Force Readiness in the Black Sea Region: Reuters
NATO has raised the readiness of its air forces in the Black Sea region due to the escorting of a Polish military aircraft by a Russian fighter jet.
This was reported by Reuters, referencing a NATO representative. "NATO's air policing mission aircraft were brought to a higher state of readiness on Friday due to the dangerous behavior of a Russian military aircraft near the Polish Frontex military aircraft over the Black Sea, off the coast of Romania," the report states.
Previously, it was reported that NATO member countries completed exercises aimed at strengthening submarine surveillance after the alliance warned that Moscow is "monitoring the most critical underwater objects of the European Union and the United States."
